Sub Cool FM have recently completed the installation of 2 major chiller replacements near the centre of London. We were awarded the work after a competitive tender process. Sub nCool FM was able to provide a great value-added option, with expertise and experience in commercial and corporate projects.
Project and equipment
Following detailed site surveys and planning to manage the site’s complex logistics and restricted access, our engineers replaced two ageing 10-year-old chillers. We installed 2 × Panasonic ECOi-W AQUA-Z DC C 150 chillers with upgraded pipework, enhancing overall cooling capacity and system efficiency. Despite tight deadlines and limited access, the project was completed safely, on time, and with zero disruption to the client’s operations.

Specifications
SubCool FM carried out all main contractor duties in full accordance with the Construction Design and Management Regulations. The specifications included:
- Replacing 2 x 10 year old chillers
- Replacing primary pumps
- Replacing all associated pipework
- New trace heating
- New lagging
- New 2x 2 × Panasonic ECOi-W AQUA-Z DC C 150 chillers
- Minimum disruption
- Dealing with a road closure
