About Shaun
Shaun has lived in Newdigate village, Surrey, all his life and is a well-known community member. He is a qualified electrician and builder and, over the years, utilised these skills and worked at Newdigate school, Bob’s shop, Newdigate Sports and Social club and numerous homes and businesses in the area. He is always willing to help others.

On the 9th of May 2022, the unthinkable happened. Shaun Trower, a builder/electrician, suffered terrible injuries after falling through a skylight.
Shaun’s injuries included a broken back, 15 broken ribs, a punctured lung and, catastrophically, a spinal cord injury. This damage has left Shaun with partial paralysis and minimal use of his lower limbs, and he currently uses a wheelchair.
After hearing the news Shaun’s friends came together to build an extension onto his home for easy access and rehabilitation space .
When we heard about Shaun’s accident we knew we had to do something! With summer just around the corner we know exactly what to do.
After speaking with Shaun and Teresa on ways we can help, we agreed that air conditioning in the new extension would be perfect for the space and Shaun’s comfort.
Shaun’s wife Teresa has set up a GoFundMe page called ShaunAid with a target of hitting £40,000 to help with rehabilitation equipment and home modifications.
