Fully concealed air conditioning for luxury jewellers setting
We recently completed a full upgrade of the air con solution for high-end family jewellers, Wakefields in Horsham. With beautiful premises perfect for giving customers a luxury experience, we were briefed to create a climate control solution that better fit in with the sleek and attractive surroundings.
The brief
As a well-established quality jewellers dedicated to providing excellent and tailored customer service, Wakefields wanted to ensure that all aspects of the physical environment reflect this and add to the customer experience. With existing chunky ceiling cassettes in place, they wanted a sleek and streamline solution that would provide total temperature and climate control but in line with their aesthetic. Before - standard ceiling cassette
Ceiling cassettes do a great job of efficiently dispersing air in a larger setting, but they can appear a bit industrial. A solution was required that would allow for the efficient and effective circulation of air around the spacious premises, but without visible mechanical sources. With beams and atmospheric lighting in the ceiling, the air con needed to function highly but without detracting from this.

Now open for business after Covid restrictions forced closure, the need for minimum disruption and swift, neat installation was paramount. We had to work carefully with attention to detail and protecting the surrounding furniture and luxury goods.

- Mitsubishi Electric P SERIES split units
- 1500mm long plaster in grills
- 30mm gap slots (a first)
- Acoustically lined and insulated plenum boxes
- Touch screen and app controllers
